Manufacturer’s Warranty
The Safemark Systems safe is warranted by the manufacturer to be
free of mechanical defects for a period of five years after the
original purchase of the safe. This warranty is limited only to
the repair or replacement of the unit or parts only that have failed
under normal use as determined by the manufacturer or by Safemark
Systems and does not cover labor, removal, installation or transportation.
Batteries are not covered by this warranty and will not be replaced.
All warranty requests must be made directly to Safemark Systems
customer service department by calling (800) 255-8818 or in writing
to Safemark Systems, 2101 Park Center Drive, Suite 125, Orlando,
FL 32835. All returned parts must be accompanied by an Return Material
Authorization RMA number from Safemark Systems.
This
limited warranty is expressly in lieu of all other express or implied
warranties including warranties of merchantability or fitness for
a particular purpose, all of which are expressly denied.
Limited
Warranty
Except as set forth herein, Safemark Systems, L.P. (“Safemark”),
expressly disclaims any and all warranties, express or implied,
including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose both as to the manufacturer and
the installation of its safes. Notwithstanding the preceding sentence,
Safemark warrants that each safe is secure from forced entry, and
Safemark will reimburse any registered guest of your lodging establishment
for the fair market value of the guest’s personal property,
if that property is stored in a properly locked Safemark unit that
has been properly installed in the guest’s room and is lost
as a result of forced entry into the Safemark unit, up to a maximum
fair market value amount of $10,000. This limited warranty shall
not apply to any loss that is due to the gross negligence or willful
misconduct of the lodging establishment or its guest, or any of
their agents, employees, or independent contractors. This warranty
will be void if the safe or any part thereof previously has been
damaged, misused, or subjected to abnormal use or unauthorized service
other than in connection with the forced entry. If Safemark did
not install the safe, the warranty will not cover any loss arising
as a result of failure or improper function of the safe due to improper
installation. For purposes of this limited warranty, proper installation
shall mean that the safe has been securely fastened to a fixture
in the room, or has become a fixture in the room, using tamper-proof
hardware.
Unless otherwise
agreed in writing by Safemark, this limited warranty shall remain
in effect for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase
or lease from Safemark
and during any
continuing term of a lease from Safemark. Notwithstanding the foregoing,
this limited warranty shall remain in effect only for so long as
provided in Safemark’s agreements with the lodging establishment
and so long as the lodging establishment timely performs all of
its contractual obligations to Safemark. It shall be the responsibility
of the lodging establishment to inform its guests if this limited
warranty is canceled or is no longer available.
This
limited warranty is the only warranty provided by Safemark Systems.
Safemark Systems disclaims all other warranties, express or implied,
including, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability or
warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Safemark shall not
be liable under this limited warranty for any indirect or consequential
loss or damages, or for any non-economic damages, including, without
limitation, lost profits, lost opportunities and damage to business
reputation.
Extended
Warranty
Our standard manufacturer’s warranty is five years from the
date of delivery or completed installation. The Warranty is limited
only to the repair or replacement of the unit or parts only that
have failed under normal use as determined by Safemark Systems and
does not include labor, removal, installation or transportation.
Batteries are not covered by this warranty.
Warranty requests
must be made directly to Safemark Systems customer service by phone/e-mail.
Once approved, the warranted item will be issued a Return Materials
Authorization (RMA) number. The defective part should be shipped
to Safemark with the RMA number clearly market on the exterior of
the box – freight from property to Safemark is at the properties
expense.
Once Safemark
receives/inspects the defective part and confirms that the defect
was caused by normal wear and tear, a replacement part will be shipped
to the property at the Safemark’s expense.

Phone
Support
Phone support is available at the beginning of year six at a rate
of $2.50 per safe per year maxing out at a ceiling of 600 rooms/$1,500
per hotel.
Properties that
choose not to take advantage of the phone support will be charged
$60.00 per hour billed in 15-minute increments.
