Safemark Systems, leading hospitality guest room safe provider, has signed an agreement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) to be the preferred provider of guest room safes to all new and renovated Starwood properties.

As one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, Starwood’s portfolio includes internationally renowned brands: St. Regis®, The Luxury Collection®, W®, Westin®, Le Méridien®, Sheraton®, Four Points® by Sheraton, Aloft®, and Element(SM).''Starwood considers guest safety a priority,'' said David Kimmins, Senior Director, Global Safety, Security and Asset Protection, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. "In this age of technology where guests house important personal and travel information on expensive, portable wireless devices, it's even more important we support our guests with reliable security options. We conducted an extensive search and found that Safemark is the proven leader of effective and user-friendly security solutions backed by a solid commitment to service.''

Safemark will supply all Starwood brands with a variety of in-room safes to meet or exceed the models currently in use. Safemark’s standard audit trail of the last 240 events noting guest openings and closings will be utilized by Starwood. As part of Safemark’s sophisticated management software, all supervisor functions can be traced back to the first day of installation.

“We are proud to partner with Starwood and their portfolio of world-class hotels and resorts,’’ said John Foley, Vice President of Sales, Safemark Systems. “Starwood has an amazing reputation built on customer service, which includes protecting the guest’s property.
